Research Interests
Ethnic mobilization and democratic transition in East Central Europe; multi-ethnic states in an integrated Europe.

Current Projects
Book manuscript examining ethnic mobilization in Romania, Slovakia, and Ukraine, where Hungarians are a significant minority; continued research on ethnic mobilization and autonomy structures in the former Yugoslavia (Vojvodina, Kosovo), and on European accession.
