City on the Neva: Celebrating 300 Years of St. Petersburg

Thursday, April 24
2:00-5:45pm
Emerson Hall, Room 108

The Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies announces a colloquium in celebration of the 300th anniversary of the founding of the city of St. Petersburg. Two afternoon panels will feature presentations by scholars and experts who are specialists on a particular aspect of St. Petersburg's history, politics, or culture. After the formal presentations, there will be time for questions, comments, and discussion.

We are delighted to include in the panels four prominent Russian scholars and commentators: Grigorii Golosov , Grigorii Kaganov, Oleg Kharkhordin, and Lev Lurie, and two outstanding American scholars: Julie Buckler and Paul Bushkovitch.
