Student Programs: Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies

Student Programs

The Davis Center promotes the study of Russia and Eurasia at all levels.

Elementary and high school teachers attend educators’ workshops at the Outreach Program to develop curricula on the history, geography, and culture of the region. Contact: Cris Martin, clmartin@fas.harvard.edu, 617.495.5852

Undergraduate students may pursue a Secondary Field in Regional Studies: Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. They may also apply for Andrei Sakharov Human Rights Internships, Goldman Research Travel Grants, and Goldman Internship Grants, and participate in the annual Undergraduate Colloquium on Russian and Eurasian Studies.

At the graduate level, students can pursue an interdisciplinary master’s degree in regional studies.

We offer the Fainsod Prize to encourage top incoming graduate students interested in Russian and Eurasian studies to accept admission at Harvard.

Master’s and Ph.D. students may also apply for FLAS fellowships and research travel grants.

Ph.D. candidates who have passed their general examinations may apply for dissertation completion fellowships.
