Alessandro is a historian of the Soviet Union's economic, intellectual, and political exchanges with countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America during the Cold War. He joined the Davis Center in September 2021 as Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow. Alessandro completed his PhD at the University of Oxford in 2012. Prior to joining Harvard, he was a lecturer at Oxford (2017-2021) and postdoctoral fellow at the LSE and at Columbia University (2013-2016).
