Galena Sardamova

Graduate Student Associate

A.M. Candidate in Design Studies, Graduate School of Design, Harvard University

Galena Sardamova's artistic, curatorial, and research practice investigates questions of memory, nostalgia, ritual, and (be)longing — as well as their cross-linguistic and cross-cultural nuances. Originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in May 2020 with a major in Architecture and minors in Fine Arts, Art History, and English. During her undergraduate studies, Galena worked at Slought Foundation, the Barnes Foundation, and the Fabric Workshop and Museum (Philadelphia, PA), and was a member of the ICA Philadelphia Student Board. After graduating, she interned remotely at the Museum of the Moving Image (New York, NY) and worked as a Curatorial Assistant at Swimming Pool (Sofia, Bulgaria). Galena is currently pursuing a Master in Design Studies (Domain of Narratives) at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
