Krystof is a PhD candidate in political theory at Central European University in Vienna. He studied political science, international relations, film studies and theology in Prague. His current research explores the intersection between political ideologies and religion, reconstructing the Czechoslovak Christian Democratic ideological composition and strategy in the Cold War. Prior to his current fellowship at the Davis Center at Harvard and the Hoover Institute, Krystof was a fellow at the Centre for Social and Political Thought at Sussex University, the Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen (Vienna), and the European University Institute (Florence). He is a recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship, the Visegrad Fund Fellowship, and received the Oxford University essay prize for Eastern European Perspectives on Theology and Philosophy. Outside academia, he works as a consultant for the Czech Republic Deputy PM.
