Anastasia Cwietniewicz graduated from Pomona College in 2025 with a B.A. in international relations and Russian & Eastern European studies. She was awarded the John A. Vieg Prize in International Relations for her undergraduate thesis on the Nevada-Semipalatinsk Movement. Anastasia is a recipient of both the Fulbright-Hays Fellowship and Critical Language Scholarship for Russian-language study.
This year, Anastasia will serve as the Program Fellow for the Davis Center's Imperiia Project. Her prior research experience includes internships with D3 Systems and Pew Research Center.
Anastasia’s current research focuses on the role of museums in shaping national identity and collective memory. Her forthcoming thesis explores how museums in the Baltic states construct and present historical narratives about the Soviet period and life under communism.
