Bob Foresman

Bob Foresman was vice chairman of UBS Investment Bank in 2016-2020, Barclays Group country head for Russia and the region in 2009-2016, and deputy chairman of Renaissance Capital in 2006-2009. He also held senior Russia/CIS-related positions at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and ING Barings. 

After earning his master's from the REECA Program in 1993, Bob ran the Ukrainian privatization advisory office of the International Finance Corporation in Kyiv (1993-1995) and worked at the IFC in Washington until 1997. He served as an independent non-executive director of steel-pipe maker TMK Group (2012-2019) and is currently a shareholder and/or board director of companies working in steel, cybersecurity, and investment, among other business interests. Bob served several terms on the Davis Center's Advisory Board from the mid-2010s to the mid-2020s. He is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations and holds a bachelor’s from Bucknell University (1990), as well as a certificate from the Moscow Energy Institute (1989). Bob and his wife, Luda, have five children and reside in upstate New York.
