Catherine Mannick is an angel investor and former international lawyer with 20 years of experience representing U.S. businesses in the former Soviet Union. She has served as general counsel of AcadiaSoft, Inc., a financial services software company with operations in the U.S. and Western Europe. Prior to joining AcadiaSoft, she served as executive vice president and general counsel of Cole Management Incorporated, a fund that invested in Russian and other emerging market technology companies. Before joining Cole Management, she served as vice president and assistant general counsel of The Pioneer Group, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed financial services company, and general counsel of its spin-off, Harbor Global Company Ltd., an OTC-listed company that was organized to manage Pioneer’s portfolio of investments in Russia and Eastern Europe. Previously, she co-chaired the Russian Practice Group at Hale and Dorr, LLP and served as international counsel at Bank of Boston. Ms. Mannick is a member of Launchpad Venture Group, a Boston-area angel investing group focused on early-stage investments, primarily in high tech and life sciences. She is also a director of the Rostropovich Vishnevskaya Foundation and CRDF Global.

Ms. Mannick holds a B.A. in Russian studies from Yale University, an M.A. in history from Harvard University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and has studied law as a postgraduate at Moscow State University.
