Helen Simpson is an A.B./A.M student in the REECA program. Her current research focuses on how authoritarians use the internet to manage dissent at home and spread disinformation abroad. Her other research interests include electoral fraud as well as domestic politics in Russia, Iran, and China. She has interned at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensics Research Lab, the German Marshall Fund, and the Davis Center’s Negotiation Task Force. She previously wrote for BMB Russia, a publication of the Foreign Policy Research Institute. Helen has spent time abroad in Moldova and Tajikistan.
