Strategy and operations manager, Google

Nicole Carter (Harvard B.A., 2013) is a strategy and operations manager at Google, within YouTube’s content moderation team. She is also the host of The Multitudes Podcast. Nicole has previously worked at the U.N. in peacekeeping operations focused on landmine removal and at the White House within the National Economic Council. She lived in Moscow in 2014-2015, working as a research associate at the Higher School of Economics. Nicole holds an M.B.A. from Wharton (2020) and an M.A. in international studies from UPenn, with a focus on Russian affairs (also 2020). As an undergraduate, Nicole minored in Russian and was actively involved with the Davis Center, studying abroad in St. Petersburg and Moscow and winning a Goldman Undergraduate Research Grant in support of her honors senior thesis. Under Prof. Timothy Colton’s research supervision, Nicole conducted 40+ interviews with displaced Chechens in Moscow while volunteering at a Russian refugee assistance organization.
