Zitong Yang is a Ph.D. candidate in Comparative Politics at Tsinghua University and currently serves as the Rotating Coordinator of the Eurasian Studies Section at the Institute for International and Area Studies. Between 2023 and 2025, he spent a total of 20 months as a visiting researcher at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Uzbekistan and at KIMEP University in Kazakhstan. His primary research interests include the geopolitics of Eurasia, the governance of resource wealth in Eurasian states, and regional economic cooperation and development in Central Asia.
