The Herzog August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel, an independent research institute for European cultural history, is offering postdoctoral fellowships for a period of 6-10 months for scholars to analyze source material from the library's holdings and advance their research. 4 to 6 fellowships will be awarded annually. 

Monthly fellowship amount is €2200 euros, with a one-time reimbursement for the cost of travel to and from Wolfenbüttel, for a maximum of €2000 euros. The fellowship period begins January 1, 2027.

The Yale Baltic Studies Program invites applications for the Juris Padegs Post-Doctoral Associate position, a four-month appointment during the 2026-27 academic year. Selected candidates are expected to be in residence in New Haven, Connecticut and participate actively in the activities of the Baltic Studies Program, part of the MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies. Application review begins February 1, 2026.

The Gerda Henkel Foundation offers short-term support to scholars in acute crisis in the form of subsistence scholarships (max. duration 6 months) to support the initial transition to the host country, doctoral scholarships with a funding period of up to two years, and research scholarships with an initial funding period of up to one year. Applications are considered on a rolling basis.

Seton Hall University seeks a full-time Lecturer of Communication in the Department of Communication, Media, and the Arts, beginning August 2026. The teaching-focused position includes undergraduate instruction, student advising, curriculum development, and departmental service on the South Orange, NJ campus. Applicants must hold a master’s degree in communication or a related field and have at least one year of undergraduate teaching experience; a PhD is preferred. The initial appointment is a one-year contract with the possibility of renewal (up to three years and eligibility for Senior Lecturer rank). The salary range is approximately $55,000–$61,000.

The Translating Ukraine Summer Institute will be held in Wroclaw, Poland, 6-17 July 2026. Supported by academic partners in Canada, the US, the UK, and Poland, this summer institute will focus on training emerging and mid-career translators in the field of literary and academic translation. 20 participants will be accepted. The Global Methane Politics project s a five-year European Research Council-funded project led by Professor Jan Selby in the School of Politics and International Studies. The University of Leeds is currently accepting applications for three research fellows to join the project for three years from September 2026, focusing respectively on livestock, oil and gas, and solid waste. For each of these fellowships, the core objectives will be to generate original research findings on their specific sector. The Mieroszewski Center's Open Competition Grant Program supports projects that promote the history, culture and heritage of the peoples of Eastern Europe. Applications are open to the public, academic and educational institutions, non-governmental organizations, foundations, local governments and individuals. Grant funds can be used to implement a variety of cultural, educational and research projects, including the organization of conferences, workshops, cultural meetings, exhibitions, as well as publishing projects. Funding can cover up to 80% of a project's budget, with no minimum or maximum amount specified.

Copernicus Hamburg awards fellowships to Eastern and Central European, North African and Central Asian master's students every semester. The fellowships last about 6 months. Candidates from the following disciplines are eligible: legal sciences, political science/international relations, business/economics, humanities and social sciences, natural sciences, computer science, medicine, architecture.

The Swedish Society for Medical Research (Svenska Sällskapet för Medicinsk Forskning) offers scholarships to Ukrainian doctoral and postdoctoral students who came to Sweden after 2022. Scholarships are granted for a period of 3-12 months with the possibility of extension. Successful applicants must be able to secure a research position at a Swedish university or research institute for the duration of the funding period.
