The academic symposium highlights core research achievements and clinical translation milestones from Kazakhstan’s national research initiative "Artificial Intelligence Technologies for Multimodal Big Data Analysis in Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Prognosis" (2024–2026). Conducted by a national consortium led by Astana IT University in partnership with the Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology, the Salidat Kairbekova National Research Center for Health Development, the Multidisciplinary Medical Center of the Astana City, and the Institute of Genetics and Physiology, the initiative focuses on developing, validating, and deploying clinical-grade AI systems across mammography, ultrasound, DCE-MRI, CT, and histopathology (Ki-67). Backed by a clinical cohort of 5,500+ digitized patient cases across 18 oncology centers, 520,000+ training images, and 15 Q1/Q2 peer-reviewed publications, the workshop presents breakthroughs in multimodal vision-language models (VLMs) and automated diagnostic reporting. Ultimately, this symposium aims to highlight the scholarly contributions of Astana IT University researchers, familiarize the U.S. academic community with Kazakhstan's advancing scientific landscape, and establish sustainable bilateral partnerships for future institutional collaboration.
