The policies adopted by Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger toward the Soviet Union and other Warsaw Pact countries were influenced by their views of West European integration and the cohesion of the European Economic Community. This seminar will discuss how Nixon and Kissinger shaped their policies toward Western Europe against the backdrop of the Cold War.
