Putin’s Military Might: Bluff and Reality

Special Event
Event Format
In person
Address
S010 (Tsai Auditorium), 1730 Cambridge Street

Join us for the third event in our new speaker series "Russia: In Search of a New Paradigm — Conversations With Yevgenia Albats" to hear military analysts Dmitry Gorenburg and Alexander Golts (via Zoom) speak with our eminent host about Russia's military capacity and its limits.

What military resources does Putin have at his disposal? How long can he afford to wage war against Ukraine? What is bluff and "fog of war" on Putin's part and what does he genuinely have at his disposal? What military assistance do North Korea, Iran, and China provide to Russia? What steps, if any, can the West undertake to mitigate the effects of Russia's military machine in its destruction of Ukraine's infrastructure?

These questions will lie at the heart of a conversation sure to cover much more ground. Please look for other talks in the series in our Events listing.
