Students from Research Webinar AY23-24
The Program on Georgian Studies at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies is excited to announce that we are accepting applications for our Virtual Research Exchange Program. Through this initiative, scholars and students focusing on Georgia have an opportunity to connect with fellow researchers, present their work to a broader academic audience, and learn from guest lectures given by leading figures in the field. The program consists of five webinars that explore a broad range of topics such as Georgian politics, history, arts, and culture.
The Research Exchange Program aims to foster more dialogue between students mainly based in the United States and Georgia, promoting academic exchange of ideas and research collaboration. In addition to guest lectures and networking opportunities, a key component of the program is student research presentations. Researchers with ongoing projects will receive feedback from peers, while those with completed projects will present their findings to a new academic audience. Participants will also have access to members of the inaugural cohort for networking and collaboration purposes.
The webinars will take place monthly in September, October, November, December, and January. The students who complete over 80% of the series will receive a certificate of completion from the Georgian Studies Program.
