András Nagy

András Nagy is a historian, academic, and author, and a professor emeritus at the University of Pannonia. He has taught at several universities in Hungary and abroad, worked as an editor, dramaturg, and literary director, and was elected president of the Hungarian Center of the International Theatre Institute. Later, he served as director of the Hungarian Theatre Museum and Institute, and then as director of the Kőszeg Campus of the University of Pannonia. He has published several books and studies in Hungarian and in foreign languages on literary, philosophical, and historical issues. His field of research for decades has been the analysis of a turning point of the Cold War in Central European history, with special regard to the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and the international responses to it.
