Andrew Chubb is a Senior Lecturer in Chinese Politics and International Relations in the Department of Politics, Philosophy, and Religion at Lancaster University and a Fellow in the Center for China Analysis at the Asia Society. His research broadly examines the relationships between Chinese domestic politics and international relations, focusing on propaganda, public opinion, and maritime and territorial disputes. He is the author of Chinese Nationalism and the “Gray Zone”: Case Analyses of Public Opinion and PRC Maritime Policy (Naval War College Press, 2021) and PRC Overseas Political Activities: Risk, Reaction and the Case of Australia (Routledge, 2021).
