Askold Melnyczuk is a writer, translator, and editor. His books include What Is Told (1994), Ambassador of the Dead (2001), House of Widows (2008), The Man Who Woudn’t Bow (2021). Askold Melnyczuk has received several awards, including the Lila Wallace-Reader’s Digest Award in fiction and the George Garrett Award for Outstanding Community Service in literature from the Association of Writers & Writing Programs. Askold Melnyczuk is the founder of the literary journals AGNI and Arrowsmith Press. He is professor of English at the University of Massachusetts-Boston.
