She is author of the award-winning Samarkand: Recipes and Stories from Central Asia and the Caucasus (2016); Black Sea (2018), the tale of a journey between the great cities of Odessa, Istanbul, and Trabzon; and Red Sands: Reportage and Recipes through Central Asia, from Hinterland to Heartland (2020).
