Jean Radvanyi is a geographer and Professor Emeritus at the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO), Paris, France. He specialised in geographical and geopolitical studies on Post-Soviet Space, specially Russia and the Caucasus. He is the founder of the Observatory of Post-Soviet States at the INALCO.
From 2008 to 2012 he was director of the French-Russian Research Center in Moscow.
