Jeremy is a landscape designer and MLA II candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Design whose research examines the relationships between landscape, culture, and political history in Central Europe. His current work focuses on chalupaření, the Czech practice of rural living, as it occurred between the Prague Spring and Velvet Revolution. Combining archival research, historical cartography, spatial analysis, and design methods, he investigates how practices of everyday life shaped culture beyond official state structures, and how landscape registers the complex histories embedded in the Czech Republic and Central Europe at large.
