Muslim Khassenov is a legal scholar and associate professor of law at Maqsut Narikbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan. He earned his Ph.D. in jurisprudence and LL.M. in international law from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. Dr. Khassenov is the author of several monographs and textbooks on labor, commercial, and economic law, as well as analytical reports on constitutional reforms, domestic violence, and trade unions. He has extensive experience working with human rights and international organizations, including the International Organization of Migration, UNDP, UN-Women, UNFPA, International Labor Organization, and World Bank. Muslim is a Bolashak Scholar and a visiting scholar at the Davis Center for the 2025-2026 academic year.
