Professor Myra Marx Ferree is the Alice H. Cook Professor of Sociology Emerita at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a seminar leader at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies at Harvard. She is the author of Varieties of Feminism: German Gender Politics in Global Perspective (2012), translated as Feminismen (Campus 2018). Her recent work is on intersectional structures for mobilization on the right and the left and the remaking of gender into a central element of party politics. Her articles and books address feminist organizations and politics in the US, Germany, and internationally, as well as gender inequality in families and intersectionality in sociological theory and practice.
