Sherkhan Sauyrtayev is a Kazakhstani educator and master’s student in the Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. His research examines the transformation of post-Soviet education through language-aware, technology-enhanced, and culturally responsive pedagogies. With a decade of teaching and school leadership experience, he has led the design of international curricula, teacher capacity-building programs, and research-based initiatives aimed at strengthening literacy and metacognitive development in multilingual STEM classrooms. His scholarly interests span education, pedagogy, technology, ethnic identity, and post-colonialism, with a regional focus on reforming learning systems across Central Asia toward equity, inclusion, and epistemic decolonization.
