Fr. Vassilios Bebis is an adjunct professor of Religious Studies at Hellenic College (Brookline, MA), a professor of Eastern Orthodox and Ecumenical Theology at the Graduate Theological Foundation (Sarasota, FL), and an Orthodox Christian Chaplain at Harvard University (Cambridge, MA). He holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from Hellenic College, an M.Div. from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, an S.T.M. in Sociology of Religion, from Boston University School of Theology, a Ph. D. in Church and Dogma History, from North-West University (South Africa), and a Th.D. in Systematic Theology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece). He is an author of theological books and articles, including the book Theotokos and Ecofeminism (Athens: Armos 2021), and has lectured at international scientific conferences organized by the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia). He is a bureau member of the Committee for Religious NGOs at the United Nations (New York, NY) and an advisory member of the International Observatory on Religious Fundamentalism (Alexandroupolis, Greece) and of the Huffington Ecumenical Institute at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology (Brookline, MA). Most current recent project: "The Russian Orthobros in the USA and the Rise of Digital Religious Fundamentalism: Hegemonic Masculinity, Religious Identity and Online Radicalization" - a presentation at the International Conference "The genesis and evolution of Religious Fundamentalism," organized by the International Observatory on Religious Fundamentalism (Alexandroupolis, Greece, 6/13-14/ 2025).
