Thirty years ago this month, the Belavezha Accords were signed, marking the beginning of the end of the Soviet Union. Stanislau Shushkevich, former Chairman of the Belarusian Supreme Soviet, one of the signers of this momentous document will join us for a conversation about the impact of the events of that weekend. Dr. Yelena Biberman (REECA A.M. ’06), creator of the Davis Center podcast “How to Kill a Superpower,” will moderate the event.
This event will be held in Russian. English translation will be provided.
