Alex Jackson studies Soviet history, with a focus on Soviet nationalisms and internationalisms. He graduated from McGill University with a B.A. in History, and the Harvard Extension School with an M.A. in History. His research interests include discourses of race in the Soviet Union, the application of the concept of national self-determination in the American South, and the Comintern.
