Colin Flood is an active-duty Foreign Area Officer in the U. S. Army specializing in Europe and Eurasia. His primary areas of interest and expertise are Ukraine, Russia, the Baltic States, and the overall geographic region of Eastern Europe. Before coming to Harvard, Colin completed a one-year language acquisition program in Washington D.C. for the Hindi language. He then attended a military course at the Defense Services Staff College in Tamil Nadu, India, for an additional year as an international student. Colin’s prior international military experience includes a deployment to Afghanistan and extensive work with the Ukrainian Armed Forces from 2016 – 2019. Colin has lived all over the United States and has filled many leadership positions within the United States Army.
