Ella Rossman is a doctoral student at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies in University College London. She was previously a research assistant at The International Center for the History and Sociology of the Second World War and Its Consequences and a lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities in Higher School of Economics, Moscow. Ella participated in Russian independent education and gender studies initiatives, like Free University Moscow and AntiUniversity Moscow. Her research is now focused on late Soviet girlhood; she is also interested in the history of gender studies and feminism in Russia. Ella's work is forthcoming in History of Science and Humanities journal. She wrote for Meduza, Navaya Gazeta, and Riddle.
