George Sikharulidze is a Georgian-American filmmaker born in 1988. He holds degrees from NYU and Columbia University in media and film directing.

His short films, including "The Fish that Drowned," "A New Year," "Red Apples," and "Fatherland," have garnered acclaim at prestigious festivals like Clermont-Ferrand, Toronto, and Sundance.

George's debut feature, "Panopticon," developed at Cannes' Cinefondation Residence and Torino labs, premiered in 2024 at Karlovy Vary Film Festival and received the Ecumenical Jury Prize. Subsequently, it won the Critic's Prize at Cinemed, securing French distribution with Les Alchimistes Films, and continues its global festival circuit.

George has taught filmmaking at NYU, Columbia University, and University of Notre Dame.
