Levan Lomjaria

Levan Lomjaria studied at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgian State University in Tbilisi, and after went on to complete his Master’s degree under the mentorship of renowned Hungarian film director Béla Tarr at the film.factory program in Sarajevo. From 2015 to 2023 he worked as the head of international film export at the Georgian National Film Center, overseeing the international success of the latest Georgian film titles. Levan is the producer of feature film project “Transmission” directed by the independent American filmmaker, Jimmy Bontatibus. He is the executive producer “The Antique” (premiered in the Giornate Degli Autori at Venice Film Festival 2024, Georgia’s Oscar entry in 2024), directed by Georgian film director Rusudan Glurjidze. Lomjaria is a member of the European Film Academy, DOCA (Association of Documentary Cinema), as well as the international artistic collective - Bistrik7.
