Harvey Salgo is an economist and attorney with over 40 years of experience in the domestic and international electricity industry. Since the early 1990s his work has been primarily for the World Bank, mostly in Central, South, and Southeast Asia; its focus was power sector planning and reform. Between 2006 and 2011, Mr. Salgo was closely involved with the CASA-1000 project for which he helped to set up the Ministerial-level Inter-Governmental Council and became its first advisor. After CASA, he worked for several years in Laos. Mr. Salgo retired in 2019.
