Ia Eradze is a political economist and has a PhD in social and economic sciences. She is a researcher at the Institute for Social and Cultural Studies, Ilia State University. She is also a fellow in the Legacies of Communism research network, at the Leibniz Centre for Contemporary History in Potsdam. Her area of research is historical political economy of finance and state formation in Georgia. Her book “Unravelling Dollarization Persistence: the case of Georgia” is in press at Routledge and her paper “Financialization of Monetary Policy in a Dollarized Economy: The case of Georgia” has been published in Cambridge Journal of Economics.
