Ketevan Paitchadze is a luminary in Georgia's contemporary art sphere, pioneering innovative avenues of cultural dialogue and artistic expression. An alumna of the prestigious Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, she has devoted her illustrious career to bridging Georgian art with the international community.
In the early 1990s, Ms. Paitchadze inaugurated the seminal "Winds of Caucasus" project, uniting artists across the region and garnering international acclaim. Buoyed by this success, she collaborated with McGill University in Canada, eloquently presenting Georgian culture to new audiences and enhancing cross-cultural understanding. Upon her return, she continued to advance the "Winds of Caucasus" initiative, further solidifying her role in fostering regional artistic collaboration.
In 2003, she established Art Gallery Line, which she cultivated into a preeminent art institution within the Caucasus region. Under her visionary leadership, the gallery orchestrated over 70 exhibitions, nurturing a vibrant artistic milieu and fostering emerging talent.
Her unwavering commitment to cultural diplomacy is exemplified by the establishment of the Art Cross Foundation and the Georgia Nation Harmony Foundation, both dedicated to supporting artists and promoting global harmony. Ms. Paitchadze has orchestrated illustrious events at esteemed institutions, attracting diplomats, art collectors, and connoisseurs alike.
Presently, she is engaged in a prestigious partnership with the Georgian Studies program at the Davis Center at Harvard University. This initiative, facilitated by the esteemed Professor Stephen Jones and endorsed by the current head, Natia Chankvetadze, has culminated in an exhibition supported by the Davis Center. Currently on display and running for the next three months, she will grace the opening reception with her presence next month, aiming to deepen cultural ties and share Georgia's rich artistic heritage with an international audience.
