Kirill Feferman is a senior lecturer in the Department of Jewish Heritage at Ariel University, Israel, where he teaches courses on the Holocaust, antisemitism, and the Second World War. Dr. Feferman’s research focuses on the Shoah in the Soviet Union, Nazi occupation policies, and Jewish-Muslim interactions during World War II. He is the author of three books, notably The Holocaust in the Crimea and the North Caucasus (Yad Vashem, 2016) and If We Had Wings We Would Fly to You: A Soviet Jewish Family Faces Destruction, 1941-42 (Academic Studies Press, 2020), and has published widely in leading journals such as The International History Review, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Modern Judaism, War in History, and Nationalities Papers. Dr. Feferman’s current research examines the intersections of the Shoah, Soviet security policy, and wartime geopolitics.
