Kiyomi Osborn is a Diplomatic/Research Assistant in the Political Section at the Embassy of Japan in the United States in Washington DC. Previously, she worked as an intern at the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development in the City of Houston and also served as a member of the Ambassador’s Youth Council at the U.S. Consulate General in Osaka. She holds a joint bachelor’s degree in Global International Relations from American University’s School of International Service and Ritsumeikan University’s College of International Relations. Kiyomi’s research has focused on US foreign policy, US-Japan relations, and America’s engagement with Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and the Korean Peninsula. She is joining this event in her personal capacity as an independent researcher.
