Leonid Schwab is a Russian poet who emigrated to Israel in 1990. He works as an IT professional in Jerusalem. He has published two Russian poetry books and contributed to a third. He won the Andrei Bely Prize for poetry in 2016.
Anna Glazova's For the Shrew and Leonid Schwab's Everburning Pilot will appear in English translation this fall. Our seminar will welcome both poets and three of their translators -- Alex Niemi, Alexander Spektor, and Anton Tenser -- to read from the books and answer questions about the poems, the translations, and the current state of Russian poetry.
