Dr. Marhabo Saparova is a Postdoctoral Researcher at ISS Erasmus University whose expertise lies in gender, migration, and labor studies, particularly within Central Asia and Turkey. Her research explores the experiences of Central Asian labor migrants in Istanbul, examining themes of mobility, precarity, and the negotiation of gender roles in a transnational setting. Currently, she is investigating the concept of "arrival infrastructures" and their impact on the integration and access to resources for Central Asian migrant newcomers in Istanbul's Fatih district. Saparova’s research draws upon a strong foundation in sociology, anthropology, and feminist studies, incorporating qualitative fieldwork, ethnographic methods, and critical analysis.
