Masato Nakajima is a second-year master's in public policy candidate with a concentration in political and economic development at Harvard Kennedy School. He is currently working on financial sector development in Azerbaijan, as well as growth diagnosis in Uzbekistan. He was part of the Harvard Growth Lab, working with the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan and focusing on topics such as banking interest rate margins, financial dollarization, and macroprudential policy. Prior to Harvard, he obtained a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tokyo and has 3+ years of experience in international finance, economic research, and financial regulation at Japan's Ministry of Finance.
