Nikoloz Aleksidze is a professor of the history of religion and political thought at the Free University of Tbilisi. He received his doctoral degree in Oriental studies (Eastern Christian studies) at the University of Oxford in 2014. He holds a master's degree from Central European University in medieval studies. Professor Aleksidze has published three monographs on the history and culture of Caucasia.
