Oleksandra Keudel is an associate professor and the founding director of the Center for Democratic Resilience at the Kyiv School of Economics. She is also a fellow at the Center for East European and International Studies (ZoIS Berlin) and an affiliate of the Center for Governance and Markets (University of Pittsburgh). She studies democratic transformation and societal resilience, with a focus on Ukraine’s local governance. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin. She has been a visiting researcher at Harvard University, George Washington University, New York University, and Södertörn University. She combines academic research with policy consulting on open government and public integrity for international organizations such as the Council of Europe, GIZ(German Corporation for International Cooperation), and IIEP-UNESCO(UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning).
