Patricia Herlihy (1930–2018) was Professor Emerita of History at Brown University and Adjunct Professor at the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs. An affiliate of the Davis Center for nearly 50 years, she authored numerous publications, including the books Odessa Recollected: The Port and the People (2018); Odessa: A History, 1794-1914 (1986); The Alcoholic Empire: Vodka and Politics in Late Imperial Russia (2002); Vodka: A Global History (2012).
