Roberta Sala’s research interests encompass Russian literature, performative poetry and art of the 20th century, and ecocritical and ecosemiotic theory. As a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Turin she is engaged in a project on the ecocritical analysis of the forest in Russian unofficial culture. In 2019, her monograph Lo spazio senza il verso was published by Guerini e Associati (Milan). In 2023, she co-edited the special issue "Framing Environments in Russia: Critical Reflections on Ecology, Culture and Power" in the journal "Lagoonscapes," Ca’ Foscari, Venice. Sala also teaches courses on Russian literature and Russian civilization at the University of Pavia.
