Slawomir Lukasiewicz, PhD Hab., is a professor at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He came to the Institute of Federalism for a one-week research stay. He is a historian, political scientist, and Europeanist. Prof. Lukasiewicz has been a visiting scholar at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University from 2019 to 2023. He is the recipient of the 2019/2020 Fulbright Senior Award, as well as a grantee of the Kosciuszko Foundation, and the National Science Center in Poland.
He is currently conducting, with Mykola Riabchuk, a project financed by the Foundation for Polish Science titled "From Discourse of 'Europeanness' to EU Membership: Integration Narratives in Poland and Ukraine in Comparative Perspective: Merging Theoretical and Utilitarian Approach."
