Abigail Gipson graduated from Indiana University in 2019 with a degree in international studies. Her undergraduate research focused on music production and language revitalization in Tatarstan. After graduation, Abigail completed a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in Izhevsk, Russia. She also has a background in communications and audio/video production. Her current research interests include literature of the Volga region, governance in the Russian Empire and the early Soviet Union, and language policy.
