Gregory Gleason is Professor Emeritus at the University of New Mexico and currently is Professor of Security Studies at the George C. Marshall Center, a partnership between the German Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense. He works primary on the political economy of the countries of the former USSR. During 2018-2019, Gleason served in Tashkent as the U.S. Advisor to the Ministry of Defense in Uzbekistan. Gleason completed the Ph.D. in political science at the University of California at Davis in 1984.
