Iva Sidash (b. 1995, Ukraine) is an independent photographer and visual storyteller based in Ukraine. A member of the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers and the National Society of Photo Artists of Ukraine, she studied Documentary Practices and Visual Journalism at the International Center of Photography in New York and is a 2024 Women Photograph fellow. Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Sidash has focused on capturing both the visible effects of war and the often overlooked, personal stories of those affected. Her photography merges artistic and documentary approaches, bringing attention to the human experiences shaped by conflict. Her work has been published in The Atlantic Magazine, INSIDER, The Financial Times, The Fisheye Magazine, Der Spiegel, Forbes, and more. Sidash's photography has been showcased in group exhibitions in the US, UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Estonia, Poland, and Ukraine. She held two solo exhibitions, “The Wall: Witness to the War in Ukraine,” in Wisconsin, USA, in October 2023, and in San Diego, USA, in April 2024. Her photography has been showcased in exhibitions across the US and Europe including solo exhibitions “The Wall: Witness to the War in Ukraine” in Wisconsin (October 2023) and San Diego, California (April 2024).
