Sandra Grudić holds a bachelor's degree in secondary social science education (2003) from the University of South Florida and a master's degree in comparative political science (2007) from American Public University. She earned a Ph.D. in modern European history at Clark University's Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies (2025). Her research explores the dynamics of neighborliness and neighborhood violence in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the conflict there in the 1990s. Her most recent publication "Understanding Bosnian Komšiluk: A Study of Neighbourhood Dynamics and Violence," appears in the Journal of Genocide Research. Before beginning her Ph.D. studies, Grudić worked as a high school social studies teacher in the United States and abroad. Over the years, she has taught a variety of high school and college-level courses in history, political science, sociology, and epistemology.
